The Virginia Association of Scholars is a non-profit organization {501 (c)(3)] incorporated in the state of Virginia that promotes excellence, equal opportunity, and merit in higher education in the state. It is composed of professors, graduate students, college administrators and trustees, independent scholars and members of the public committed to protecting and advancing the integrity of higher education. It is the state chapter of the National Association of Scholars, a national organization of 4000 + members.
